As I came into the hotel room in Greenwood and turned the TV on, I was blown away that another event had taken place. This event was of a bridge that had collapsed over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. It was shocking to see the people that were there "as we know as rubber neckers" as well as the people that were actually involved. The thing that amazed me most is that they say that it was "structural". Some of the things that was going on during the construction could have caused the bridge to fall. The thing that gets me is that how does a bridge over 40 years old just all of a sudden get weak and fall. That concerns me. something else to think about is when is the next bridge going to fall. Well anyway, I am moved to the point that I wonder if any of those people saw it coming. We can learn a lot from this story. Picture yourself sitting in the driver seat of your car and you have no idea that the bridge that you are on is going to fall at any moment. then all of a sudden you hear noise as sit in still traffic then the nest thing you see is that truck in front of you upside down and on fire. You see other cars sliding around and at the same time you realize that you a moving as well. Then you see a school bus full a children sliding into the guard rail. you still have no idea what has actually happened. then you look up at the road that your once were traveling on and see another car come falling down right on top of your car. That is when you thank God for bringing you through one more time. Then you think of those around you and you begin checking to make sure that everyone is OK. Then it really sets in what just happened, and you feel as though you are in the worse situation that you have ever been in. In a world full of destruction and "shock" the only thing that we can do is be rescued. we need to go to Jesus and tell him that we need him. The song says "I need you Jesus come to my rescue, where else can I go. There's no other name by which I am saved, capture me with grace, I will follow You."
